3 of the best Christmas candles

You’ve strung up the fairylights, hung a wreath and decorated/micro-managed the kids decorating the tree. If we were Martha Stewart (or Jamie Oliver) we’d be baking batches of gingerbread, making homemade wreaths and filling the house with seasonal scents of cinammon, cloves and spices as we lovingly pre-prepare several days worth of Christmas feasts. Instead, we’re nursing a G+T and trying to get through the mound of work and wrapping while the kids are asleep. But we still want those special yuletide fragrances of incense, cinammon, zesty orange and Scandinavian woodland pine under our noses and in our houses (as long as it doesn’t overpower the taste of the gin). What better way to get it than to light one of these luxurious and decadent Christmas candles? Now sit back and relaaaax

1. Under £50

Diptyque Epices et Délices, £48 – BUY!

Forget slaving over a hot stove baking fresh Christmas gingerbread and light this little guy to get the warming scents of seasonal spices seeping through your house instead.

2. £30

Neom Christmas Wish, £30 – BUY!

The Neom collection is a firm favourite at triplemelt towers and this festive fragrance does not disappoint. It gently wafts a delicate aroma of cinnamon and mandarin through your home. It’s as close to Christmas baking that you can get without a whisk in sight.

3. Under £10

Baylis and Harding Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit, £6 – BUY!

This surprisingly elegant seasonal scent makes me think of peeling the satsuma you found at the bottom of your stocking on Christmas morning. Plus, it’s so cheap you can light it from am to pm completely guilt-free.
