New season = new coat, new boots, new nails. They’re the basic staples for AW17, no? And obviously it’s all about the nail (although as Beauty Editor, I might be biased) 😉
This year colours are cooling down with a palette of navy blues (Zadig & Voltaire), nudes (Mugler), green-tinged greys (3.1 Phillip Lim), browns (Dennis Basso), reds (Jeremy Scott) and chromatic colours (Mulberry). Wearable, chic and the simplest of seasonal updates, get your fingertips on one of these and you’re immediately on trend. I’ve cherry-picked the most on point collections from my favourite nail brands for this weeks 3 shop edit…
Lucia Pica, Global Creative Makeup & Colour Director of Chanel took a coastal California road trip and we have that to thank for these gorgeous AW17 colours: New Dawn, a muted dusty lilac, and the cool green grey of Horizon Line (‘the exact point where the sea meets the sky’ to be precise). Ok you’ve got me – 2 of these 3 polishes are new season, but Rouge Essential isn’t actually new. However with red making such an impact on our AW17 wardrobes, where else to turn but Chanel, darling?
OPI’s autumn collection is inspired by Iceland, the land of fire and ice. Think volcanoes, lava fields, geysers and glaciers and you’ve got an ethereal and earthy colour palette. The hero? By far and away the gorgeous dark ice blue of Less is Norse.
Deborah Lippmann has pulled together some highly wearable shades in her Star Power collection for fall, inspired by the image above. Flashes of chrome, saturated plums and the return of her very first greige in the updated Gel Lab Pro Colour formula.
