We’ve got Spring fever here at triplemelt. Last week Ashling shared that she’s feeling the (very out of character) urge to de-clutter and showcased some brilliant new storage solutions, that will no doubt help scratch that spring clean itch in your home (without picking up a duster or hoover).
But Spring also means blowing away the dark, drab winter cobwebs once and for all. And what better way to do so than shopping for gorgeous pieces to brighten up our homes. Thankfully, the stores are full of glorious new homewares that showcase the new season trends.
Fittingly, Pantone’s Color of the Year is Greenery, plus leaves, foliage and botanicals are everywhere – with safari and jungle motifs thrown in for good measure. High glamour home style, graphic and geometric shapes are also here to stay with Eastern artisanal influences also making an entrance into our interiors. We’ve rounded up the best collections showcasing these trends from our favourite high street stores.
3 stores serving up the best Spring home style:
Taking the urban jungle/safari trend and totally running with it is h&m – one of our favourite high street home lines for injecting little bursts of affordable, seasonal style without breaking the bank.
M&S has revolutionised their interiors recently, especially this season. With trends that focus on ‘global chic’ which is a nostalgic ’70s inspired range and (my favourite) ‘contemporary glamour’ – think lush fabrics, marble and gold – they really are becoming the go-to high street store for chic interiors.
We love French Connection Home. Admittedly, it is is not an expansive range, but they seem to source pieces that transcend the high street. This season expect a distinctly Eastern feel with beautifully woven rugs and cushions that look far more expensive than they are.
