I’m not a fan of sales. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a bargain – but that fight-for-your-life struggle for the latest handbag deal usually leaves me a tad bruised and empty-handed. Online shopping? Well, thats a completely different matter. Gone are the chances of face-to-face combat (believe me, chic women are susceptible to retail rage) – a swift press of a button and that discounted designer piece is all yours.
The key to good sale shopping is preparation. What is missing from your wardrobe? What do you actually need? Do NOT buy something on a whim with an ‘I might wear that someday’ attitude – especially if it’s not in your exact, current size. The high street does a good sale, but this is the time for you to indulge in a little luxury. Have you had your eye on a certain dress? Are you coveting boutique jeans? Always fancied a designer tote? Then act fast! Dangerous, but have your card details already logged in. I’d personally recommend deleting these from your account to prevent future gin-fuelled shopping sprees. Not speaking from experience, obviously… Here are the 3 shops on my sale hit list:
One of my favorite online designer stores, you’ll find the usual big hitters like Valentino, Chloé and Dolce & Gabbana, but also a whole host of mid-range lust-have labels. This makes it the perfect go-to for those niche finds that others may not know about. Do your research, discover the names on the up and get in there first.
For that perfect mix of chic styling and beautiful bohemia, put this store at the top of your list. Regular price tags are usually pretty pricey, making sale time a little like a visit to the candy store: deliciously tempting!
This site is home to over 200 men’s and women’s designer collections, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. Plus, while you’re perusing a catalogue of über cool brands – from Gestuz to Bella Freud – I challenge you not to be seduced by the Beauty, Homeware and Life departments.
