gracie, ashling & betsy wear: the bright company pjs
For someone who writes about fashion, I arguably spend way too much time in pyjamas. But I’m not alone. Go on, admit it, how often are you in your pjs when you’re not actually in bed? According to a recent survey by Liberty London – who have just launched their new AW17 sleepwear collection – 90 per cent of Londoners (and I’m pretty sure that the rest of the country will be the same) are jumping into their jammies well before bedtime, in many cases even before dinner.
Am I surprised? Not really. There’s something so incredibly liberating about shaking off the day’s clothes and embracing the wind down. So finding the perfect pyjamas is kinda crucial in my books. And yes, you can find fleecy numbers and flannel pairings at Primark, Next and Topshop, but head to the labels that really know their stuff for the real deal: pure comfort, quality fabric and style you won’t mind answering the door in!
One gorgeous brand doing all of the above is The Bright Company. Founded in 2013 by the lovely Alienor Falconer, this design-led collection is all about bold, colourful unisex sleepwear made with the softest organic fabric. They are, in fact, the coolest PJs I have ever owned (I currently have both the women’s Slack Jyms and the Selfish Mother MAMA Jyms). And you know you’re on to a good thing when your girls ditch their unicorn emblazoned nightwear in favour of The Bright Company’s signature SLIM JYMS – which are designed to be slim fitting so that they don’t ‘ride up’ at night. So if you’re after guaranteed comfort, go check them out. After all, a good night’s sleep is worth investing in, right?
