We celebrated by throwing a tea party in London at the Soho Secret Tearoom (incidentally featured in Ali’s first novel Miracle on Regent Street) and invited a whole host of fabulous women to join us for tea, cake and (of course) fizz.
Many are friends in real life; some we’ve met through social media; but all of them have built cool, creative, and innovative businesses in the worlds of beauty, blogging, fashion, PR and publishing. Seriously connected women for whom we have huge respect.
As we chatted, it felt like The Power of We (the first blog we ever published) had become a reality. It was a big leap of faith for the three of us, taking a step away from established careers and starting a business together, but what the last year (and the ladies in this room) have taught us, is that when women work together and support each other anything is possible.
Friday was an awesome celebration – not just for the business the 3 of us are building together – but for this inspiring community we’ve encountered along the way. We can’t wait to share our interviews with these (and many more) incredible women over the coming months on TMTV. Our first Tea at 3 with best-selling author, Adele Parks is live on our YouTube channel now. So go and put the kettle on and join us!
3 best bits from our #TeaAt3 party
Guests were lead through a traditional Soho pub, up a steep winding staircase, and into a vintage inspired Soho Secret Tearoom where they were served tea in vintage crockery, sandwiches, scones, cakes and fizz. Our huge thanks to Hollie & the team for a brilliant launch party and the super-friendly service.
We heart these women who schlepped into Soho just for us. From l-r: Emma Hart from Push PR, Kat Farmer from Does My Bum Look 40, caker and food stylist, Juliet Sear, Lorna Hayward from TheMumblings, Ayshea McCormack from The Small Home, Emma Carr from The Fashion Craver, Kate Jones from Kate Jones London, Erna Leon from Mercer 7, novelist Isabelle Broom, Burberry Beauty PR Jenine Creaney, Style Editor Ellie Crompton, novelist Adele Parks, Seen Group PR Natasha Hulme, Lyndsey Gilmour from She Can and She Does, novelist Paige Toon, co-founder of K&H Comms, Skye Shihab, Lauren Mills from Bux and Bewl Communications and novelist Cesca Major (also known as Rosie Blake ) and of course Little Barnaby.
In short – one seriously encouraging, inspirational and successful group of women!
