new season Boden in 3 cities

There’s no denying that Boden is an iconic British brand; with its mix of high quality pieces, bold prints, and quirky charm, it’s become one of those make-you-smile labels. I’m not going to lie, there was a time when I thought of it as a grown-up collection: practical, yet sensible items made for… mums, I guess. How short-sighted I was. Yes, I’m a mum, but I’d wear Boden, kids or no kids. It’s synonymous with classic design, elegance and the most beautiful quality. Quite frankly, I’m ready to grow up if it means wearing this fashion calibre.

The fact is, Boden is seriously stylish (check out the wave stilettos). And this season is already proving to be a sell-out hit. With an air of fun and frivolity – from polka dot blouses to red retro sunnies – and strong classics (we love the Abingdon trench), I set the team a challenge to style up their favourite pieces their way. And if that wasn’t enough, we  decided to take our Boden wares to 3 cool cities…

Ali – Rome

Rome may be known as the Eternal City but, having seen the way the Italian women dress there (simple, chic, expensive) it should be called the city of eternal style. As such, the Abingdon trench was never far from my shoulders for the entire trip and I had my own Audrey Hepburn ‘Roman Holiday’ moment sipping coffee in front of the Spanish steps. The Pony slipper shoes were both practical enough for wandering around the cobbled streets and stylish enough for shopping on Via Condotti followed by an al fresco lunch in a pretty piazza.

shop the look:

Boden Abingdon trench, WAS £150, NOW £120
    Boden Brighton biker jeans, £60
    Boden two part court, £98
Boden Pony leopard slipper shoe, £99.50

Ashling – Copenhagen

Copenhagen is a cool city packed with laid-back cafés and unique design-led boutiques and I felt very much at home in my Boden picks. The cross body bag is a travel and style essential; while the combination of my khaki jacket, polka dot shirt and girlfriend jeans is very me. The winning item was the red Luz sunnies – perfect after a night on the Danish beer and for fitting in with local trendies on Jægersborggade.

shop the look:

    Boden Luz sunglasses, £65
    Boden Florence khaki jacket, £90
    Boden Cavendish girlfriend jeans, £60
Boden Rowena cross body bag, £90
    Boden Wave high courts, £99.50

Robyn – London

For me, this new military-inspired Boden jacket is London personified – I LOVE it. It makes me think of the Beatles Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club with its epaulettes and striped detail, plus the military box cut gives it a modern & masculine edge. Every time I wear it I get asked where it’s from. As for the shoes, nothing beats a pair of red stilettos. And where better to show off the best of British Boden than Carnaby Street?

shop the look:

    Boden Laura military jacket, £190
    Boden Olive blouse, £70
    Boden Soho skinny jeans, £60
    Boden Wave high courts, £99.50
